What would a photograph look like if it were reborn as a poem? Poets and songwriters were invited to look at photographs and write poems or lyrics in response. Each of them selected a single image that drew them in from among many, and sent back poems and song lyrics inspired by that photograph. Which images did the poets choose? And what did they see within them?
This issue unfolds a collection of beautiful and uncanny poems born from a single photograph, becoming a journey that follows the voices of poets who sing of scenes. Along the way, photographic works rich in poetic symbolism, metaphor, and literary imagination accompany the reader.
